[AlbaNova] A message from the director

Dear AlbaNova colleagues

This letter informs about some ongoing developments in AlbaNova.

First a big thank you to the former AlbaNova director Mats Larsson for his great service.
Thank you Mats and good luck with future projects.
A small corona adapted reception to thank Mats was held in December.

AlbaNova is undergoing organizational changes.
The AlbaNova buildings are now owned by Akademiska Hus and KTH rents the buildings.
The new director is prof Mats Wallin from KTH-Physics and the AlbaNova service team has moved to the
KTH-SCI administration headed by Helene Rune.  The AN service will mainly continue as before.

The internal fault report routine used at AlbaNova is to directly contact the reception,

Routines for workplace safety are under revision.
Last weeks fire alarm was caused by a burnt bread in a microwave oven.
Note that he evacuation is not over when the siren is turned off.
Only after an authorized announcement is given is it allowed to reenter the building.

Corona restrictions affect us all.  It is important to carefully follow instructions on the SU, KTH and AlbaNova web pages.
For reasons of corona safety it has been decided to close the AlbaNova gym for the spring semester. The gym will be locked up tomorrow, January 22nd.

The workshop is open for orders for mechanical construction jobs.
The workshop fee has been raised to 850 kr/hour in order to cover the full work cost.
