So now I am looking for someone else to rent this room starting November 1st, with shared usage of over 100m2 common space including two bathrooms, kitchen, dining corner-living room, on a 1700m2 property. The house was built in 2015-2016 in a very sustainable and carbon-neutral way using almost entirely natural products: wood, straw insulation, clay plaster, a slate roof, and standing on a foam glass (recycled glass) base. Heating is mainly done using a wood-fired mass oven (mainly using local wood), with bathroom floor and wall heating in other rooms that act as back-up. Hot water from solar panels (summer). The house is well insulated and heating (electricity) costs relatively low. The house lies on Tranholmen (www.tranholmen.com), an idyllic skärgården island without motorized traffic, lying very close by the city in between Lidingö and Norra Djurgården, with a regular ferry connection (taking 10 min) to Ropsten (6:45am-11pm). In winter there is a walking bridge crossing a 100m sound to Stocksund (Danderyd), allowing a 20 min bike ride to SU; in summer you can always get back home via that route even in summer using a small row boat. Beaches and a common sauna on the island stand at your disposal as well, as well as a very friendly village-like neighbourhood. Here a (little outdated) airbnb profile to get an impression: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21837323 The room has a double bed and storage space for clothes, and a balcony. You will share the house with one other renter of a smaller room, and myself. I myself occupy another smaller room, however I am away approximately half of the time. Gardening and interest to help out in and around the house is welcome, as well as an interest to keep the plants alive (regular watering). Note that you need to do some work to keep yourself warm in winter (firing the mass oven). The room and location are ideal for an (international) postdoc at SU or KTH or similar. The rent is 12500 SEK, including internet, water and garbage collection but excluding (shared) electricity. (My current estimate is on average 750/month per person Nov-Mar; 150/month the rest of the year). I ask a one-time contribution of SEK 1000 for wood usage in the winter. Please contact me if you are interested, and feel free to forward to anyone who might be. rienk.smittenberg at geo.su.se -Rienk Dr. Rienk Smittenberg Associate Professor in Isotope Organic Geochemistry Department of Geological Sciences Stockholm University SE-106 91 Stockholm Sweden Phone: +46 (0)8 164 760 Email rienk.smittenberg at geo.su.se web: https://www.su.se/english/profiles/rsmit-1.188830 From Love.Dalen at nrm.se Tue Aug 30 09:35:57 2022 From: Love.Dalen at nrm.se (=?utf-8?B?TG92ZSBEYWzDqW4=?=) Date: Tue, 30 Aug 2022 07:35:57 +0000 Subject: [Bolincentret-at-su.se] furnished room for rent November 1st In-Reply-To: <81E6148E-6659-48CC-9EB0-8333E067393F@geo.su.se> References: <81E6148E-6659-48CC-9EB0-8333E067393F@geo.su.se> Message-ID: <28A719A7-A665-4021-9067-CC55B2057340@nrm.se> Done // Love > 30 aug. 2022 kl. 08:14 skrev Rienk Smittenberg : > > Dear Bolin colleagues > > My current renters, a couple who are renting the larger bedroom in my house, found a small house for their own around the corner, and move out the end of Oktober.
