[Drand] Colloquium course

Dear PhD students and supervisors,

The first autumn 2018 colloquium in the Fysikum PhD Colloquium course will be by Rachel Rosen, Columbia university, NY on September 13. Ingemar Bengtsson will guide this first colloquium module.

I welcome new and old PhD students! The colloquium course offers a chance to get a broadened view of physics in addition to the specialised research education in the Fysikum PhD programmes.

It is mandatory to take the course before the licentiate for all new PhD students in physics and theoretical physics.

There will be an introductory meeting at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

New students who wish to start any time this term, please fill in your full names in the doodle<https://doodle.com/poll/z8amr7rh9d742sc7> by tomorrow Tuesday Sept 4 at 18.00 to determine a suitable time (even if you cannot or do not wish to participate in the first colloquium module). If none of the proposed time slots work for you, please mail me directly.

Those who take part in doodle the poll will get more info, as will PhD students who started the course last term.
