Ämne: Student representatives in evaluation groups and a new hiring committee


Hi everyone!

This information goes out to all student councils and PhD student councils at the faculty of science. In November the faculty will launch 5 evaluation groups (in Swedish: granskningsgrupper) which will evaluate some of the programs at the faculty of Science. The faculty council of Science (NFR) will appoint 1 student representative per group at their next meeting on the 18th of October. If you are interested in becoming a student representative in one of the groups you must apply to NFR before their meeting. You can find more information about the evaluation groups in the attached document. All students at the faculty of Science can apply so it would be great if you could spread the information to your members. The evaluation groups will operate in Swedish.


The faculty will also launch a new Hiring committee (in Swedish lärarförslagsnämnd) this December. The purpose of the group is to hire two new associate professors in data driven cell and molecular biology. They will operate between December and February so this is also a temporary group. In this group there can be 2 representatives and 2 suppliants. To apply for this position, you need to study at the Biology, Chemistry or Earth and Environmental section. You apply by contacting NFR. More information about this group will be in the other attached document. In this group the meetings will be in English but the protocols will be in Swedish
