Ämne: Observations from the Swedish 1-m Solar Telescope avail
The Institute for Solar Physics (ISP) announces the availability of data
from the Swedish 1-meter Solar Telescope (SST). The data could be
existing data from our archive or new observations from the 2015 season
or later.
The ISP is a Swedish research infrastructure under the Research Council
(VR). The SST is therefore available to observers from Swedish
universities and research institutes. We offer help with formulating
observations programmes, with making the observations, and with data
processing.
To aid new potential observers and data users we will organize an
information meeting in Stockholm with the following subjects:
* The SST and its instrumentation.
* Standard data processing and science data products.
* Formulation of observations programmes.
* Existing data.
The exact date for the meeting will be decided together with those who
have responded to <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:mats@astro.su.se">mats@astro.su.se</a> before 2015-02-16. The meeting will
be scheduled to make it possible (for most of you) to participate
without staying the night. If you cannot attend the meeting but are
interested in observations in 2015, please let us know as soon as possible.
This announcement is open also for MSc students with an interest in
doing a thesis project based on solar data. If no suitable supervision
is available at the home university, it is possible to do the project at
Stockholm University with supervision from us. We can also offer travel
support and 1 hotel night for a few such MSc students who want to attend
this information meeting.
