<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Abstract </span></b><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Is the cause of the gender imbalance in STEM faculties gender inequality? If so, what can be done to
increase gender equality? In the lecture, Lotta Snickare presents results from two research projects at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo. The studies, which are based on extensive quantitative and qualitative material,
not only investigate the gender equality situation at the faculty, but also discuss the causes of inequality and analysis the effects of various measures to promote equality.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
