“Gravitational wave observations of merging black holes and neutron stars - inferring object and population properties”</div>

There is now an unprecedented population of eleven observations of gravitational waves detected by the LIGO and Virgo observatories during their first and second observing runs. I will present recent results detailing these individual gravitational sources,
what they can tell us about the nature of General Relativity as well as how they give us a first glimpse of a hidden population of black holes. I will also highlight the observation of the merger of two neutron stars, and how the latest gravitational wave
analysis is capable of shedding further light on this golden event.</div>
