Two open postdoc positions in Linköping, Sweden:


Two Post doc positions in bioinformatics and single cell analyses to create Digital Twins for Personalised Medicine



Our aim is to combine single cell RNA-seq, network tools and machine learning to create digital twins of individual patients. Those twins will be computationally treated with thousands of drugs to identify the best drugs for each patient: https://healthcare-in-europe.com/en/news/why-digital-twins-could-be-the-ideal-therapy-testbed.html.You will work in a multi-disciplinary team of theoretical, functional and clinical researchers at the Centre for Personalised Medicine (CPMed), Crown Princess Victoria Children’s Hospital at Linköping University Hospital, Sweden, which is closely linked to the medical and technical faculties, the National Supercomputer Centre in Linköping, and different biotech companies.   We develop and validate the methods on a mouse model of arthritis, in vitro models as well as clinical samples. We use our own scRNA-seq platform, seq-well. The project is part of one Nordic and one European Consortium, aiming at personalised medicine for autoiummune diseases. This has resulted in publications in journals like Science Translational Medicine and Nature Communications.



CPMed actively engages in career development. Previous and present PhD students and post docs have received national and international grants, gotten faculty positions, or pursued international careers in top international centres. The position may make you very attractive for future positions in universities, hospitals or companies.



Requirements: A PhD in relevant subject area. Experience of omics analyses, mouse disease models and basic bioinformatics.



Further information: The position is for one year with a possible one year extension.
