Danish Stem Cell Center (DanStem) at Faculty of Health & Medical
Sciences at the University of Copenhagen is looking for a
Bioinformatician to join the DanStem Bioinformatic Group starting from
January 2017 or upon agreement.<br><br>DanStem comprises of two
sections: The Novo Nordisk Foundation Section for Basic Stem Cell
Biology, where we address basic research questions in stem cell and
developmental biology (BasicStem). The second Section for Strategic
Translational Stem Cell Research and Therapy (TransStem) is focused on
the translation of promising basic research results into new strategies
and targets for the development of new therapies for cancer and

offered position will focus on providing bioinformatics support to our
scientists, in planning, processing, analysis and publication of
transcriptomic and epigenomic next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.<br>The
work involves analysis and integration of various “omics” datasets for
solving complex scientific questions. Furthermore, the successful
applicant is expected to contribute to the development of data analysis
workflows and pipelines. <br><br><strong>Your profile</strong><br>Candidates must hold a Master and/or PhD degree in computational biology/bioinformatics.<br>Proficiency in at least one of the scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell) is required. <br>Knowledge of UNIX-like operating system, sound statistic and fluent programming skills in R/Bioconductor are essential. <br><br>At least two years of experience in the analysis of NGS data, particularly ChIP-seq, RNA-seq and microarray is recommended.<br><br>Experience in interdisciplinary collaborations or bioinformatics services will be an advantage.<br>Scientific understanding of molecular biology and genomics is beneficial.<br>Good English communication skills, both oral and written, are prerequisite for the successful candidate.<br><strong><br>We offer you</strong><br>

with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish
