<b><u>fully funded</u></b> by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, with some funds provided to the hosting Stanford PI to cover research costs.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The </span><a href="http://www.novonordiskfonden.dk/en"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Novo Nordisk Foundation</span></b></a><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> is one the largest European grant-giving foundations/trust
funds focused on life sciences with corporate interests. In this RFP, Danish citizens who have just recently completed their PhDs are encouraged to apply for a visiting scholar fellowship that, if awarded, would provide the opportunity to conduct
<b>interdisciplinary and innovative</b> <b>postdoc-level research for 3 years at Stanford, and 1 year back at their hosting Danish institution</b>. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

opportunity facilitated under the Stanford Bio-X community, and will have <b>up to 2 new Danish scholars at Stanford for the Fall of 2017</b>. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
