Dear Bolin Centre Scientists,

There is now a possibility to register single days at the CORDEX conference.
Please see below for full information.

The International Conference on Regional Climate (ICRC)-CORDEX 2016 will be held at Stockholm University in May and you are all invited!

The International Conference on Regional Climate (ICRC)-CORDEX 2016 will bring together the international community involved in regional climate research focusing on high resolution climate information, and its applications to the vulnerability, impacts and adaptation community and the full spectrum of potential end users of regional climate information. It will further promote the CORDEX vision to advance and coordinate the science and application of regional climate downscaling through global partnerships.

Conference dates: 17–20 May 2016
For further information: www.icrc-cordex2016.org <http://www.icrc-cordex2016.org/>
Deadline for registration: 1 May 2016
The Bolin Centre is one of the sponsors of the conference.

Registration fees
Researchers and PhD students at the Bolin Centre are most welcome to participate in the CORDEX conference. For two or more days the full conference fee applies and payment is done via the registration system. PhD students will have a waiver if they lack other funding at their departments for the registration fee.

All participants should register at the conference web page (http://www.icrc-cordex2016.org/index.php/registration) regardless of if they intend to participate for one, two or more days.

A reduced fee of 1000 SEK applies to Bolin Centre researchers and PhD students that only wants to attend one day. They should also send e-mail to Irene.Lake at smhi.se explaining that they have registered for the conference and that they are either a researcher or a PhD student at the Bolin Centre. PhD students should also include information about which department they are at and if they lack funding for the conference and thus would like to get a waiver for the registration fee. Researchers and PhD students with own funding will be given the details about how to pay the reduced conference fee of 1000 SEK.

Bolin Centre PhD students lacking funding for attending the conference will get their registration fee reimbursed from SMHI. Here, we would like each department to keep track of how many PhD students this applies for. After the conference the Departments can send invoices to SMHI requesting pay back of these registration fees.

Reduced fees are only for Bolin Centre scientists and we would like to point out that a few of the sessions are quite crowded. In some of the smaller conference rooms there may be space limitations and in that case those paying the full conference fee will be prioritized. We ask for your understanding of this.

Best regards,
Karin
