[Drand] Invitation: Autumn meeting of PhD council with pizza!

Dear PhD students at Fysikum,

The annual PhD council fall meeting will be held on *Monday December 2nd 
at 15:30 in room FB42 at AlbaNova. *After the meeting we will have 
*_free pizza and refreshments_*! (no alcohol).
The fall meeting is a great opportunity to bring any issues or questions 
you have to the PhD council or to find out what is going on in Fysikum 
and SU and meet fellow PhD students. All PhD students are welcome!

At the meeting we will nominate representatives to faculty and 
university level positions. Nominations will go to the NFR annual 
election meeting (see separate email from SUS) in which representatives 
will be elected. So if you are interested about the organizational 
structure of SU and the Natural Sciences department or want to make your 
voice heard, nominate yourself for one or more of the committees! The 
time you spent on any committee will be compensated with an _extension 
of your PhD contract._ Some examples of the decision-making groups you 
can be elected for are:

  * Faculty Board which is the highest decision-making body at the
    Faculty of Science
  * Scholarship Committee which discusses the faculty’s different stipends
  * Research Education Advisory Committee which discusses and evaluates
    doctoral education

The preliminary agenda for the meeting is attached, as well as last 
meetings minutes. A list of the positions for elections and nominations, 
and a list of NFR representatives with more information on each position

*You can nominate yourself or someone else for a position at the 
meeting.* If you cannot join this meeting, but you want to**nominate 
yourself of someone else to a position, or if you want to continue your 
current position, please send me an email at ellen.riefel at fysik.su.se 
<ellen.riefel at fysik.su.se> before the meeting on December 2nd. You can 
also send an email if you want to add something to the agenda or if you 
have any questions.

The PhD council fall meeting is co-organized with SUS.
