[Okc-wp4] adhoc talks of potential interest

Hi EOers,


Our group has two visitors on Friday this week and we've arrange two 30 minute adhoc talks for them to share their work.  If you are interested, please come to the sixth floor, west end kitchen area on Friday this week at 13:15. I've ask for general talks but you can discuss details with them if you like, let me know and I can arrange a time.


Talk 1: "Efforts to incorporate neutrino Fast Flavor Instability in merger simulations." Speaker: Dr. Somdutta Ghosh.  Somdutta is NP3M fellow at the University of New Hampshire working on neutrino oscillations in merger environments. She develops/uses a machine learning model to include oscillations in a dynamical simulation. Somdutta is also here on Thursday.


Talk 2: "Understanding Dense Matter States through Gravitational Waves" Speaker: Dr. Sudipta Hensh. Sudipta is a postdoctoral research at the Albert Einstein Institute in Potsdam.  He performs numerical relativity simulations to assess the impact of quark equations of state on the post merger gravitational wave signal in neutron star mergers.
