Subject: BIOINFORMATICS 2005 - the Seventh Annual Nordic Bioinformatics
Conference, Tartu, Estonia,

Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 7th annual Nordic
Bioinformatics conference organised by the Society for Bioinformatics in the
Nordic Countries (SocBiN - http://www.socbin.org). The conference covers a
wide spectrum of hot topics in bioinformatics from leading scientists around
the world.
The conference programme includes 23 invited talks and 2 poster sessions. We
invite you to submit your abstract for the conference poster session.
The conference programme includes sessions on Networks, Comparative
genomics, Microarray bioinformatics, SNPs/Pharmacogenomics and Proteomics.
In addition, a workshop on "Structure prediction and modeling of globular
vs. membrane proteins" will be held in the morning of June 9th.
Confirmed speakers include Eric Davidson, Andreas Wagner, Adam Godzik,
Edward Marcotte, Kim Sneppen, Martijn Huynen, Dmitri Petrov, Manyuan Long,
Sven Rahmann, Ann-Christine Syvänen, Frank Oliver Glöckner, Mauno Vihinen,
Lakshmi Muthuswamy, Kenneth Kidd, Andrew Clark, Hakon Hakonarson, Lincoln
Stein, Richard Villems, Ole Nørregaard Jensen, Alexey Nesvizhskii, Marc
Vidal and Peter James.

Please note that the deadline for early registration is April 15th.
Deadline for late registration is May 30th, 2005. Abstract submission
deadline is May 23rd, 2005. The number of abstracts is limited to 120.

NorFA will provide travel support to a limited number of Nordic and Baltic
students to allow them to attend the conference.
