POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW: Centre for Bioinformation Science

Applications are invited for an appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow  
in the
Centre for Bioinformation Science (CBiS) within the Mathematical  
Sciences
Institute (MSI).Ý The successful applicant will be involved in  
research in
statistical bioinformatics under the direction of Dr Conrad Burden and
Professor Sue Wilson.Ý The position is research only and will involve
research on sequence analysis, in particular, the development of
statistical techniques for pairwise and multiple sequence comparison.Ý A
solid background in mathematics and/or statistics or a related field is
required with a demonstrated interest in applications to  
bioinformatics.Ý
The position will be funded through an Australian Research Council
Discovery Grant.
