Dear all,

RTH - the Center for non-coding RNA in Technology and Health - is
pleased to announce two PhD stipends in Bioinformatics starting 1
December 2010 or soonest thereafter.
The goals of the two PhD projects are respectively:

(i) To design approaches that can take structural features such as RNA
3D motifs into account for (in silico) screening methods for structured
RNAs. This can include construction of various machine-learning
approaches and the project will also address prediction of de novo RNA
3D motifs.

(ii) To design methods to conduct in particular local structural
alignments of RNA structures to be exploited for structure search in
genomic sequence as well as structural clustering of the RNAs.

Deadline for applications: 25 October 2010 at noon (only paper copy
applications accepted!). For more information, please see the attached
file.

We are trying to reach as many relevant people and networks as
possible, so sorry for the inconvenience if you receive this
announcement more than once.

Best regards,
