Available Position One opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher
Job Description We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on the computational assembly of the Glycyrrhiza uralensis transcriptome from RNA-Seq data. Since the genome sequence of Glycyrrhiza uralensis is not available, the successful candidate will apply de-novo assembly strategies to identify the structure of the transcripts and genes. By comparison between subspecies of G.uralensis we aim to identify genes with specific functions responsible for the phenotypic differences.
Postdoctoral Researcher:
Works independently to carry out research assigned by supervisors and build experience for further work as a research scientist.
Qualifications
1)PhD in Bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field.
*Basically within 5 years after obtaining the PhD degree.
2)Good English language skills in speaking, reading and writing.
3)Japanese language skills are not required but would be a plus.
4)Experience with analysis of high-throughput data is required.
5)Experience with sequencing data is a plus.
