*Postdoctoral Position available in the Field of Bioinformatics
Investigations of Transcriptional Networks, job ID 12331*
**
A postdoctoral position in the field of bioinformatics is available in
Susanne Mandrup's research group, Department of Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology (BMB) at the University of Southern Denmark. The
position runs for two years, starting as soon as possible in 2013.
The research in the Mandrup Group
(http://www.sdu.dk/bmb/research/mandrupgroup) focuses on understanding
the molecular cross-talk between transcriptional regulation and
metabolism and the group runs several projects that are based on deep
sequencing to determine genome-wide aspects of transcriptional
regulation. The group runs an in house sequencing platform, and most
postdoctoral researchers and PhD students are already well-trained in
bioinformatics analyses and basic programming. The group has close
collaboration with several national and international bioinformatics groups.
The successful applicant must be an ambitious and self-motivated person
who can lead research projects on non-routine data mining of large
genome-wide data sets. The applicant will be involved in collaborations
with other members of the group as well as with external collaborators.
Applicants with a PhD degree in bioinformatics or related fields and who
have considerable experience in the genomics field will be preferred.
Employment is dependent on final approval by the Villum Foundation who
has granted the money.
Application deadline is 3 December 2012 at 12 o'clock noon.
Please see the full call, including how to apply, on
www.sdu.dk/vacancies <http://www.sdu.dk/vacancies>(job ID 12331).
