University of Minnesota
To: arne.elofsson at scilifelab.se

                                Dear Colleague:

I am writing to ask your assistance in identifying strong candidates for
faculty positions in the College of Biological Sciences at the University
of Minnesota in the broad area of Computational and Genome-Enabled
Biology. Please
see our website for more information
<http://umn.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e8c33d337bd102368963e0622&id=fae03b69f8&e=83709aba19>.
We seek to fill up to three tenure-track assistant professor positions,
though candidates for more senior positions are also encouraged to apply.
These positions are part of a larger effort to build a critical mass of
researchers using the latest genomic and computational approaches to answer
significant questions about genetics, development, or the basis of complex
phenotypes and behaviors.

Applicants are sought in two distinct but complementary focus areas:

   - *Computational Biology*: We seek applicants with a strong
computational background who are developing and applying new computational
approaches to address impactful questions in biology.
   - *Genome-Enabled Biology*: We seek experimental biologists utilizing a
combination of the latest tools in genomics, molecular genetics,
biochemistry, and/or bioinformatics to study fundamental biological
   questions.

I am also attaching an announcement of these positions

to this e-mail.

Many thanks for calling these positions to the attention of talented
candidates in your group or at your institution. The College of Biological
Sciences aims to promote diversity and work-life balance for its faculty,
and especially encourages applications from women and members of
under-represented groups. Thank you for your assistance in this endeavor.

Sincerely,

David Greenstein, PhD
