Postdoctoral Researcher* *(Bioinformatics /* *Neurosciences).*



The Kanninen research group is seeking a motivated and experienced
postdoctoral researcher to join a highly dynamic group of neuroscientists
working on Alzheimer’s disease. The group utilizes in vitro cultures of
brain cells to investigate molecular and cellular mechanisms of
neurodegeneration. More details on research interests can be found at

In this position the candidate should have a PhD in computer science,
bioinformatics, biostatistics, neuroscience or related discipline.
Experience with various statistical methods is required and the successful
candidate should be proficient in using the R programming language. The
candidate should be committed and motivated, display independent thinking
skills, and possess the ability to work independently while supervising
students. Good knowledge of written and spoken English are essential.


The application deadline is 16/04/2019 and the position is filled for a
fixed term from 1st of May in 2019 (or as agreed) to 30th of April in 2020.
The position is filled for a fixed term due to the duration of the project.
