Course: Introduction to the department and PhD studies in physics 

The course ”Introduction to the department and PhD studies in physics” will be given in the form of a series of presentations covering among other things:

Stockholm university, its history and profile.
Short history of the department of Physics.
Overview of the department.
Formal aspects of PhD studies at the department.
Administrative routines.
Gender equality at the department
PhD-student representation at Fysikum and the Faculty of Science.

The course ”Introduction to the department and PhD studies in physics” is one part of the mandatory (for students starting after 1 jan 2018) course ”Introduction to Doctoral Studies at the Department of Physics FK40005. 5 credits.” 
Students accepted before this date are welcome to follow the course, but there is a limited number of participants for each installment.

Date: October 22, 2018 9:30 to ca 12:30.
