Dear chair of PhD councils and faculty PhD student councils


The Central PhD Council (CDR) is the Student Union's preparatory and advisory body for issues related to PhD students and the PhD education. CDR works to improve the conditions for PhD students at Stockholm University, in order to maintain a good quality education at the doctoral level and to improve the career opportunities after graduating both within and outside the university world. As a part of its work CDR nominates candidates to represent PhD students in a a number of board and councils at central university level as well as at the area of Human sciences.


In order to secure as broad and as good a representation as possible, CDR will hold an election meeting, where we will elect the candidates for the different positions. The meeting will be held at 26th of November in Hörsal 3 at Frescati campus. There will be fruit, coffee and tea, and fika.


Attached is the agenda for the nomination meeting, the call for nomination which contains information on all of the positions we will be nominating for as well as the nomination and election procedure.


It is important to notice that the deadline for nominating candidates are one week before the meeting, that is nominations are to be send to cdr at sus.su.se at the 19th of November. A nomination should contain a short motivational letter written by the candidate.

We hope very much that  you will help us secure as good and broad representation of PhD students as possible, and share this information with your fellow PhD students and the faculty student and PhD student councils!
