Hi Everyone!



This e-mail goes out to all student councils and PhD councils at the Faculty of Science as well as the student representatives at the departments and the faculty.

On the 30th of May the Science Faculty Council (NFR) will have their next meeting. At that meeting there will among other things be by-elections for available student representative positions at the faculty. If you are interested in becoming a student representative in one of the boards and committees at the faculty I recommend you to contact NFR before the meeting. Everyone that is a student at the faculty can apply for the positions. You are more than welcome to spread this information to people that you think are interested.

At the meeting NFR will also elect 3 PhD student representatives to a new working group that will be looking over how the funding for research and PhD education should be divided between the departments. This is an important work group that could highly impact the study situation for PhD students so I would like to stress that we need student representatives in this group. You can find more information about the group in the attached documents.

Here is a list of the boards and committees with available student representative positions:

The Faculty Board, Områdesnämnden: 1 bachelor/master student

Områdesnämndens arbetsutskott: 1 PhD or bachelor/master student

Grundutbildningsberedningen: 2 bachelor/master students

Grundutbildningsberedningens internationaliseringsgrupp: 1 bachelor student

Informationsberedningen: 2 PhD or bachelor/master students

IT-beredningen: 2 PhD or bachelor/master student
Biology section committee: 1 PhD student (elected by NFR), 1 undergraduate student elected by the local student council: BÄR, barstudentcouncil at gmail.com<mailto:barstudentcouncil at gmail.com>

Geo- and environmental section committee: 2 PhD students (elected by NFR), 1 undergraduate student elected by the local student council: SCEG, sceg.studentcouncil at gmail.com<mailto:sceg.studentcouncil at gmail.com>

Chemistry section committee: 1 PhD students (elected by NFR), 1 undergraduate student elected by the local student council: SCC chemistrystudentcouncil.su at gmail.com<mailto:chemistrystudentcouncil.su at gmail.com>

Physics-Mathematics section committee: 1 undergraduate student (elected by NFR)

Advisory committee for collaborations, Samverkansberedningen: 1 PhD or bachelor/master student

Forskarutbildningsberedningen: 1 Chemistry PhD student

The board of Stockholm University Centre for Circular and Sustainable Systems (SUCCeSS): 1 chemistry PhD or bachelor/master student

Remember that as a student representative in all of these groups you receive compensation, payment as a bachelor/master student and prolongation as a PhD student.
