our next EO meeting will take place this Thursday Jan 30 at 13:15.

The meeting will take place in Room A4:1003.
This is the "Room with a View" in the 4th floor, one floor below the usual meeting location.



This week Erin O'Sullivan (Uppsala University) will present


Title: What can we do to be ready for the next galactic supernova?

Abstract: We are in the process of preparing for the next generation of the SuperNova Early Warning System (SNEWS2.0.). As such, we would like to use this meeting to brainstorm strategies for how we can utilize the early warning we get from a galactic supernova neutrino signal to capitalize on the earliest observations of the EM signal. What parameters can we extract from neutrinos in order to guide observations? What things can we do now to be ready for this event? All are welcome to share their thoughts and opinions!
