STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY

invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor
("forskarassistent") in Bioinformatics at the Department of Biochemistry
and Biophysics (reg.no. SU 614-1898-05)

The position is focused on research and to some extent on teaching. The
appointment is for a period of four years.



To qualify for employment as assistant professor ("forskarassistent") the
applicant should have obtained a doctoral degree, completed by the
application deadline at the latest. Applicants who have completed their
doctoral degree no more than five years prior to the application deadline
will be given priority, unless there are special reasons, such as sick
leave, parental leave, a position of responsibility with the national
defence or with a trade union or student union. A general requirement for
qualification is demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate with
others and the competence and suitability otherwise needed to carry out
the tasks in a satisfactory manner.



In the hiring process, special weight will be given to scientific
expertise. Personal experience from developing algorithms and
bioinformatic methods for sequence analysis, genomics, proteomics or
systems biology is a merit.
