> We have a 3 year postdoc position available for a bioinformatician/researcher at the Department of Newborn Screening, Oslo University Hospital.

> Screening for 25 rare treatable disorders is offered to all of the ~60,000 children born in Norway annually.

> We are looking for a dynamic, capable, and enthusiastic postdoc to join us in a project to link genetic variants found by next-generation sequencing (NGS) to their associated biomarkers measured in the newborn screening sample. Familiarity with the entire NGS process is ideal. Experience handling and interpreting raw NGS data from multiple platforms will be a great asset. Exploratory data analysis skills, modelling, statistics, and application of relevant machine learning methods will also be advantageous.
