Hello Professor Elofsson,
It seems, I got this email by some error. But still it is interesting.Once I also tried in silico analysis of an enzyme oxalate oxidase for a paper but could not develop interest in Bioinformatics beyond that. I guess, I needed some support and guidance, but it was not available then. Though, I am not qualified for this post, but wonder, if there could be any chance as a postdoc in somewhat related interdescilplinary field?
Human robotics, which applies most rules of robotics on humans, like training and enforcement tactics, limited or misplaced information, psychological manipulations etc. Surveillance abuse and personal data collection of common people by MNCs and governments play a crucial role in that. They call that "Show, Don't Tell", a show of real lives, which political parties along with MNCs are playing with people worldwide. Instead of human robotics, it can also be called managing people or creating puppets to control each and every aspect of their lives. It is happening with all of us worldwide even without our knowledge.
How is it related to Bioinformatics?Data, simulation and creation of similar structure of protein from related species and drug development. Almost same procedure is there for making desired robots or puppets in the form of humans. Instead of proteins, it's on humans, so "Social tales of social engineering", a multidisciplinary approach can better explain that.
What is Social tales of social engineering? As the name indicates, it is about social tales of social engineering. Media culture and alternations of its ingredients help in social engineering by political parties and MNCs.
Observations and some real lives case studies from the surrounding, helped in understanding how governance, system, culture, rituals, education system of any place and people lives are so interconnected with the codes of that place or politics. And how they impact human lives differently in different types of systems from birth to death. In case this topic interests you, then it can be really interesting topic to expand your research area. If not, even then your suggestions are welcome for any such lab or collaborative team. Like my research area, my CV is also a lost from track kinda deviation, attached with this email. Thank you
RegardsDr. Vijay Dangi

Assistant Professor in Data-driven cell and molecular biology
At Stockholm University the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics (DBB) and the Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute (MBW) are looking to fill one position as DDLS fellow in data-driven cell and molecular biology.
For more information about us, please visit: DBB and MBW
Data-driven life science (DDLS) uses data, computational methods and artificial intelligence to study biological systems and processes at all levels, from molecular structures and cellular processes to human health and global ecosystems. The SciLifeLab and Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS), coordinated by SciLifeLab, aims to recruit and train the next-generation of data-driven life scientists and to create globally leading computational and data science capabilities in Sweden. The program is funded with a total of 3.3 billion SEK (about 350 MUSD) over 12 years from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg (KAW) Foundation.
The DDLS program funds 50 high-profile young group leaders (“Fellows”), over 210 postdoctoral positions and has established a research school for 260 PhDs, including industry PhDs and postdocs. Fellows are recruited to the 11 participating host universities/organizations, but brought together under the DDLS program, which has four strategic areas: cell and molecular biology, evolution and biodiversity, precision medicine and diagnostics, epidemiology and biology of infection. For more information, please see www.scilifelab.se/data-driven.
During 2022-2024, the first and second round of 39 Fellows joined and now we are looking to recruit an additional group of 11 Fellows. Each DDLS Fellow will receive a recruitment package of 17 MSEK (about 1.6 MUSD) for a 5-year period, covering their own salary and other resources, such as salaries for PhD students and postdoc positions. The Fellowships are tenure-track positions with the host organizations, which assume the responsibility for the long-term faculty appointments following a tenure evaluation.
The future of life science is data-driven. Will you be leading the change with us? Then join us in this unique program!
The position comes with an attractive recruitment package.
Subject
Data-driven cell and molecular biology
Subject description
Data-driven cell and molecular biology covers research that fundamentally transforms our knowledge about how cells function by peering into their molecular components in time and space, from single molecules to native tissue environments. The applicant is expected to have a strong computational focus on innovative development and application of novel data-driven methods relying on machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other computational techniques.
Main responsibilities
Research and in addition some teaching and supervision.
Qualification requirements
In order to qualify for the position as assistant professor, the applicant must have completed a doctoral degree in Sweden or an equivalent degree from another country. Priority will be given to applicants who have received such a degree no more than seven years before the deadline for applications. However, an applicant who has received such a degree earlier may be considered under special circumstances. Special reasons could be sick leave, parental leave or other similar circumstances.
All teaching positions at Stockholm University require the ability to collaborate and the general ability and suitability to perform one’s duties.
Assessment criteria
In the appointment process, special attention will be given to research skills. Teaching skills will also be considered.
The assessment of research skills will focus primarily on merits within the subject area of the position.
About the employment
This position (in Swedish, “biträdande lektor”) is a tenure track position, and the qualification requirements and terms of employment are regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2024:673).
For this position, the assistant professor is employed for a fixed term of six years. The contract may be extended to a maximum of eight years under special circumstances, such as due to sick leave or parental leave.
An assistant professor may, on application, be promoted to a permanent position as associate professor. Specific criteria for promotion from assistant professor to associate professor have been established by the Faculty of Science. An application for promotion to associate professor should be submitted to the faculty at least nine months before the appointment as assistant professor expires.
The formal employment will, after agreement with the hired candidate, either be at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics or the Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute.
During the first six years, the main workplace for this position will be at the Science for Life Laboratory. Assuming a successful promotion to Associate Professor, the main workplace will thereafter be decided together with the department.
