[Drand] Höstens undervisning - Teaching this autumn

Till alla assistenter under HT20

Vi närmar oss början av en ny termin, och som ni alla känner till kommer det inte att
bli som vanligt. Större delen av vår undervisning kommer ske online, och jag vet att
många av er arbetar hårt för att anpassa undervisningen så gott det går. Tack för att
ni hjälper till att göra det bästa av en svår situation!

Alla scheman för kurser under första halvan av höstterminen ska nu vara uppdaterade
så att de visar vilka delar av varje kurs som ges online, och vilka är på campus. Det
finns också information för varje kurs i den digitala kurskatalogen. Vi arbetar med att
uppdatera informationen även för kurser under andra halvan av hösten.

Huvudprincipen är att fysisk distansering alltid skall iakttas. Antalet studenter som vistas
samtidigt i laborationssalar begränsas, och studenter får som mest samarbeta i par. I alla
labbsalar finns handdesinfektion och sprit för rengöring av utrustning. Under gällande
rekommendationer från Folkhälsomyndigheten kommer munskydd inte att tillhandahållas
av universitetet, men de studenter och lärare som vill är naturligtvis fria att använda munskydd.
Detta får dock inte ersätta fysisk distansering. Om det inte är möjligt att hålla avstånd så måste
alternativa undervisningsformer hittas. Vi påminner om att läget kan komma att ändras, och
vi kommer i så fall återkomma med uppdaterad information.

Lite nyheter och påminnelser:

- i enlighet med de nya SU-reglerna för examination kommer det bli obligatorisk för studenter
att anmäla sig till alla tentamina. Detta gäller kursens ordinarie tentamen såväl som omtentamina.
Anmälan görs smidigast genom webbformuläret på vår hemsida. Påminn gärna studenterna
om att anmäla sig när tentamen närmar sig.

- slutligen vill vi påminna alla att resultat från tentor och laborationer måste finnas tillgängliga
för studenter (dvs inrapporterade i Ladok) inom tre veckor (15 arbetsdagar). Om du befarar att
du inte kommer kunna rapportera in i tid, hör av dig till kursansvarig så fort som möjligt.

- det är från och med nu inte längre tillåtet att använda Mondo för någon form av
utbildning, arbete eller kommunikation. Arkiveringen av befintligt material kommer att göras
klart under hösten. Mondo kommer sedan att stängas helt i slutet av året.

Dear TAs during the autumn semester,

Another semester is about to start, and as you all know it will be a bit different from
normal. Most of our teaching will be done online, and I know that many of you are
spending a lot of effort trying to adapt your teaching in the best way possible. Thank
you for helping to make the best of a difficult situation!

All schedules for the first half of the semester should now be updated, and show
which parts of a course are online, and which are on campus. Information is also
given for each course in the online course catalog. We are working to do the same
for courses during the second half.

The governing principle is that physical distancing needs to be maintained at all times.
A smaller number of students is allowed in the labs at one time, group size is limited to pairs,
and individual work is preferred. All labs have been equipped with hand sanitiser and
disinfectant for cleaning equipment. Given the current recommendations from the Swedish
Public Health Authority, masks will not be provided by the university. Students or staff
who wish to use masks are free to do so, but this is not a substitute for physical distancing.
Any activity where physical distancing cannot be maintained needs to be replaced. Please
note that the recommendations may be revised - we will keep you updated of any changes.

Some news and reminders:

- to comply with new SU regulations, it will be mandatory for students to sign up
in advance to all exams. This includes the normal exam at the end of each course,
as well as any re-exams. The best way to sign up is via the web form on our home
page. Please help to remind the students as the exam approaches!

- we would like to remind everyone that results from exams and lab reports need to
be available to the student (entered in Ladok) within three weeks (15 working days).
If you believe that you may not be ready in time, contact the head of the course as
soon as possible.

- effective immediately, it is no longer permitted to use Mondo for any form of teaching,
work or to spread information. Archiving of existing material will continue during the
autumn, and Mondo will be shut down completely by the end of the year.
