The Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) of the MDC expands and adds systems biology approaches to decipher the ‘post-transcriptional regulatory code’ and to directly integrate it with other major cellular and gene regulatory mechanisms.

Description

As a computational biologist you will be a member of the Scientific Bioinformatics Platform and report to the head of the platform, Dr. Altuna Akalin. You will be responsible for data analysis and method development for genomics data sets including but not limited to high-throughput sequencing datasets. You will be interacting and collaborating with BIMSB research groups as well as supporting research in computational epigenomics and gene regulation within the platform.

Hi Carsten,
[…]

I have the attached Computational Biologist position to be filled. The job requires analysis of mostly (but not only) HT-seq data (ChIP-seq, RNAseq, PAR-CLIP, Bisulfite-seq) and method development for such analysis. Someone with the knowledge of statistics, machine-learning, R and with enthusiasm would be great. The contract is offered in 2 year extensions, there is a possibility to get unlimited contract in the future.

Could you forward it to the people who are qualified and might be interested?

Best,
Altuna
