[SocBiN] Job: 2-year position, application expert - medical research supercomputer systems

We are now looking for a computer scientist or a technically skilled bioinformatics expert to handle technical challenges on the secure compute clusters at the national supercomputer center Uppmax (www.uppmax.uu.se), to enable high-impact medical research. The position is placed at the department of Cell and Molecular Biology (ICM) in Uppsala as part of the Bioinformatics Long-term Support team at NBIS/SciLifeLab (www.nbis.se, www.scilifelab.se), and you will thereby be tightly connected to several of the largest ongoing sequencing projects in Sweden. Your role will be to work with systems experts, application experts, and bioinformatics research scientists to identify and remove technical roadblocks and enable world-leading research.
